![]() For the second appointment of the black watches fetish I am writing about the latest creation from Perrelet. The model Turbine comes straight from the drawing board of a reactor engine designer. The DLC-treated titanium gives it its aggressive yet elegant and futuristic look. It is equipped with the Perrelet P-181 automatic Double Rotor movement and thanks to its ingenious design and features the Swiss manufacturer is proud to assert that their watch making engineers have defied the laws of gravity. Twelve blades made of titanium are applied in order to transform the double rotor movement in a turbine, which covers the entire dial. Another highlight are the luminous numbers. The optical effect of the turbine is accentuated by the vivid markers on the under dial and the 44 mm concave-shaped case is so aerodynamic that it looks like the fuselage of an airplane. ![]() Flipping side to the dial you can notice that the anti-glare sapphire crystal discloses the black lacquered bridges, angled and polished. The Turbine model is equipped with a very comfortable black rubber bracelet with its folding clasp, it has a 42 hours power reserve and in addition to the DLC-treated version it is available in plain titanium or in the prestigious 18ct pink gold.
