SpidoLite the Luxury Watch for Sports Enthusiasts

The new Linde Werdelin’s SpidoLite is an astonishing skeletonised titanium watch. With its remarkable features it will most assuredly be in the running for the throne of best luxury sport timepiece.
The Danish watchmaker Svend Andersen has modified the 1970’s automatic movement in favor of the skeleton dial version, also parts of the dial have been removed to show the beauty of the movement. The aggressive and extraordinary case emphasizes the empty and angular polygonal facets, while the titanium makes the case of the Spidolite even lighter and perfect for utilizing it with the optional Land or Sea instruments.

A professional mountaineer expressed his need for a lighter watch to Mr. Morten Linde before an expedition to Mount Everest. “We wanted to make an even more functional watch for the sports
enthusiasts and professionals without, however, compromising on design", says Morten Linde co-founder and Creative Director of the brand. He continues by saying, "It took us a couple of years to perfect this technique which is based on the simple idea of removing all parts that are not needed on a watch case. The result is a much lighter and aesthetically pleasing case”.
This series is going to be produced in three versions, of course in limited edition: all titanium (222 pieces), titanium with black DLC coating and yellow coated sapphire crystal (44 pieces) and titanium with skeleton dial (44 pieces). Every year Linde Werdelin releases six new models in limited edition so I would keep an eye on their website if I was you!

SpidoLite Skeleton Dial will be available from July 2009 retailing from $8,230.
