![]() Summer is almost over and for some “lucky” students school has already started, so it is time to ditch your comfy canvas shoes and get ready for the cold season. If you are someone looking for the coolest sneakers and you are tired of the usual suspects take a look at the 2010 Fall / Winter collection by Stampd’ LA. ![]() LA based artist Chris Stamp hits the jackpot with his new collection. Enriched with new texture combinations like fur, tweed, reverse sequins, and studs, the new shoe line is a clear upgrade from Stamp’s previous collections, in fact the sole, leather, laces and even the boxes have been improved with special attention to the raw materials and manufacturing. My personal favorites are the studded hi-tops accessorized with an aggressive thick velcro - these are available in red, white and black. Another highlight of the collection is the Sparks model with splashes of white paint on a blue upper. Stampd’ designed a Low-top model with a buckle and a chain that slip through the laces, that is the aggressive style a la Warriors come out and play, available in black and white. ![]() Chris Stamp began designing custom shoes several years ago and, after a successful run, decided to take it to the next level. He realized it was the right time to expand his line to the mass market. Simultaneously he also created another brand, Study Footwear. The objective of Study is to stress the importance of an education to the youth. In fact Chris volunteers his time to help the community and talk to kids about focusing on the arts and doing well in school. Recently Stamp took part in a youth program at Inner City Arts in downtown LA. Students designed their Study sneaker in order to participate to the “Study For Shoes” competition. The winner will have his design produced by Stampd LA. With this massive attack to the sneaker industry Stampd’ LA is experiencing a rip-roaring success. The sneakers have been featured by artists like N.E.R.D., A-Trak, Steve Aoki, J Davey, Afrobots and the best is still yet to come. -- By Alessandro Gambaro ![]() ![]() |
