Many of us will be carrying quite a few shopping bags in the next few weeks, and if we’re lucky, a few of those will contain something special that our loved ones will shriek in delight upon opening. (Actually, if we’re even luckier, many of those bags will just contain stuff for us to keep…but I digress). Ah, the holidays – that time of the year when credit cards are maxed out and eggnog becomes our milkshake of choice. It’s that special time of the year when we waste millions of minutes wondering what to purchase for our designer-lovin’ younger sister, or that ultra-chic and hard to impress boss of yours. Well, wonder no more oh-lovely Sofisticatis, because we’ve compiled a list of fabulous bags that’ll impress even the pickiest accessories junkie on your list. Check out what you’ll be borrowing from your sister soon:![]() As if you need another reason to shop online at the Louis Vuitton store, well, here’s one more: you’ll be supporting a great cause. Louis Vuitton will be donating 10% of the purchase price for select items sold online during November to the Red Cross. That’s right – buy an Alma bag for your Grandma and feel darn good about it. Everyone wins with this purchase! www.louisvuitton.com Prices vary ![]() This cute-as-pie turquoise leather gem of a travel bag (that’s right – travel bag) is for the frequent-flier mile collector on your list. She’ll look chic strutting her stuff amid all the boring black travel totes monopilizing our airports. This Delia travel bag by Blumera has four pockets inside and two additional outer pockets, for all the trinkets a girl needs to pack for a weekend rendezvous. And for those who are not too keen on turquoise, they also sell this in classic black leather. www.blumera.com ![]() For the classic woman on your list, here’s a sure winner. Nothing beats a gorgeous Givenchy bag. This Givenchy Sacca Couture Padded Stitch comes in acid yellow, black and skin beige. This handbag is made with wrinkled leather (think: soft, soft, soft) and lined with stitching throughout. Available at Barney’s www.barneys.com $1,895.00 ![]() It doesn’t seem like ‘80s fashion is going away anytime soon, so why not enjoy it for all it’s worth? This Alexander McQueen ‘Red Faithful Glove Clutch’ is perfect for any holiday party (the glove is detachable). Made with red gloss leather and gold hardware, this little ditty will make quite a statement with any outfit. www.alexandermcqueen.com $995.00 ![]() No one can say no to another Chloe bag and this one’s a sure winner. This Chloe ‘Ethel Satchel’ in nutmeg lambskin would be a great first Chloe for any starting fashionista and it matches with everything! www.chloe.com ![]() Let me guess – you want bags, purses and clutches that no one else is carrying at the next art gallery opening you’re attending. Lucky for you independent designer Fahmina makes these one of a kind fanny clutches, each designed exclusively with some of the best graffiti artists in Los Angeles. Street chic at its best. Buy one or four for your niece and she’ll think you’re the absolute coolest! http://www.myspace.com/fahminadotcom, contact designer for prices ![]() Dudette (you’re yelling at me now) – those other bags, clutches and travel totes are lovely, but can you please find something that’s not made with leather and doesn’t cost a whole month’s rent in the nice part of West Hollywood? Well, okay, I will. So here you go - the cutest bargain of the century and greatest holiday gift/stuffer you’ll find. This is the Momofuchi (yes, even the name is adorable) Taupe Bird Print with Ruffles make-up/goody bag. If you’re not into birds, Momofuchi also has other equally delectable designs to choose from, and at $27.00 each, you can buy a different one for each of your future bridesmaids/drinking buddies. Good times. http://www.etsy.com/shop/MomoFuchi By Haydee V Tags:
