It wasn't until two days later, after I touched back down on earth, that I became incredibly concerned about the many potential dangers I may have been exposing my baby to and the physical changes that were coming my way. My mind raced as I made a mental list; all those glasses of prosecco during Thanksgiving (yikes!), my Retin-A laden night cream (oh no!), and, although not a risk to my baby (but certainly to my psyche), stretch marks! ![]() After receiving the surprise of my life that I was pregnant - I was elated. I became obsessed with finding natural products that would keep my skin looking great and not harm the little one. I discovered Spoiled Mama after visiting a forum of other paranoid pregnant ladies on babycenter and immediately made my purchase. I checked the mail every day like a kid awaiting college admissions responses (seriously, my mailman thought I had lost it). But in the end it was all deliciously worth it. I became hooked from the moment that I rubbed my still taut belly with the rich, yummy smelling Tummy Butter cream. I felt the texture of my skin immediately change. It was dewy, fully moisturized and resilient. My skin felt as though I were eighteen years old sunbathing in Kauai all over again. I especially liked the fact that Spoiled mama products are free of all preservatives, synthetic fragrances, parabens, phthalates and petroleum derivatives. The brainchild of San Franciso based Registered Nurse, Tamara Johnson, the Spoiled Mama line offers a variety of all-natural, organic skin & body care products including stretch mark oil & serum, lotions and tummy butters, sugar scrubs, bath teas and herbal teas. My current favorites are the Organic Orange and Chamomile scrub, Nipstick and of course the Tummy Butter! These days I may resemble a greased up Sumo wrestler who waddles more than the sexy, slinky silhouette of yore, but who cares! I am eight and a half months with NO stretchmarks. My baby is safe and because of how great my skin is now, I am confident I will once again slay senses at the beach. ![]() In addition to their new Spoiled Daddy and Spoiled Baby lines, Spoiled Mama has three new products they would like to tell you about.
