When I first heard about Dr. Alkaitis and his Holistic Organic Skin Food I thought I didn't need to give it a try. God has been more than good to me in the skin department. I have always been able to use Cetaphil and Oil of Olay to keep my complexion clean and clear. In fact, everytime I used anything else,
anything that may have been more thorough in its ability to clean or anything dubbed as the next best thing in skincare, I was left with tight itchiness and acne. My luck changed a few months into my pregnancy. Overnight I found myself with overactive sebaceous glands and an incredible urge to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Luckily I got my hands on some incredible products by Dr. Alkaitis. I admit, I had never heard of Dr. Alkaitis but after reading the mantra on their site “If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin", I decided to give them a try. ![]() The first night I removed my make-up and dabbed a bit of the Organic Purifying Cleanser onto my face. I loved the smell instantly, as I rubbed it all over my face and neck I felt relaxed and my skin felt clean without being dry. If I didn’t have the night cream to try I might have gone to bed right then. Some of the organic ingredients include Olive Oil, Shea Butter, aloe vera and Natural Vitamin A and E complexes. The night cream was thick but not greasy. It truly did absorb into my skin. I loved the way it felt so much that I spread it all over my décolletage as well. The next morning my skin seemed more resilient, more....bouncy. The next morning when I tried the Day Cream I was equally impressed. My skin felt like a dewy child's for the entire day. Dr. Alkaitis and my skin were off to a fabulous start! ![]() I admit that I don’t use toner all that much. My experience with it has always been stinging then drying. The Organic Herbal Toner that Dr. Alkaitis has formulated is different. I didn’t feel any stinging or dryness after using it - I felt poreless and younger. Plus it smelled awesome! I especially enjoyed using their Organic Nourishing treatment oil on my neck and décolletage (I am obsessed with making sure these areas don't get wrinkled). I read quite a few testimonials that said this oil is fabulous for treating eczema. I don’t have eczema but my two year old nephew does so I include him on the testing. A month later my sister-in- law reported great results. His eczema had markedly improved over three weeks of regular use. ![]() My absolute favorite product from the Alkaitis line is the Organic Enzyme Exfoliating Mask. I tried all of their other masks first and they felt great, but I feel that the Enzyme Exfoliating Mask is definitely what my skin needs. It has organic Oat Buds, Blueberry, Strawberry, Blackberry, extracts of Barley Grass and many other organic ingredients to help stop the aging process. Find out which of their wonderful masks is for you. My second runner up was the Organic Cellular Repair.
