Hublot's All Black Bike

This work of art was constructed using innovative materials and state of the art technology, its main features are: lightness (a little more than 15 pounds), quality and rarity. As a matter of fact, Hublot utilized the same philosophy and experience that governs the production of its famous watches to realize the limited edition of 30 racing bicycles. The frame is made with carbon fiber and aluminium for its strength and rigidity, the pedal bearings contain ceramic material to reduce friction.
Andy Rihs and Jean-Claude Biver, respectively owners of BMC and Hublot are both galvanized by this collaboration. Rihs is thrilled with this new creation because Hublot has added to its elite sporting genetic code a sparkle of allure. In the same way Biver, for whom sport represents a great value, is fascinated to have worked with the Swiss company, whose sporting knowledge is widely recognized.

A couple specimen of the Black Bike have been tested just before the beginning of this summer's Tour de France at "The World Star Cycling Criterium" in Monaco. The testing took place on July 3rd during a charity race organized by the Star Team for the Children under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. This was the chance for the head of Hublot to race against legendary cyclists like Eddie Merckx, Tony Rominger, Richard Virenque, Laurent Jalabert and Pedro Delgado.
