ADOPT A DOG, SAVE A LIFE!
The 4th Annual Bow Wow Beverly Hills
Benefiting the Amanda Foundation Takes on the Spirit of Halloween
Beverly Hills, Calif. (October, 2009) – The 4th Annual “Bow Wow Beverly Hills” dog adoption
event kicks off at the world famous Via Rodeo at Two Rodeo Drive from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
on Thursday, October 29, 2009. With the public’s current fascination for all things vampire and
spooky, this year’s event pays homage to the hit HBO series, “True Blood”, and in the spirit of
Halloween, is titled “True Blood Hounds”. The fete benefits The Amanda Foundation animal
rescue and kicks off three days of dog adoptions in some of the most chic establishments on
Rodeo Drive and throughout Beverly Hills.

The evening begins with an exclusive VIP champagne reception at Tiffany & Co. from 6:30 to
7:30 p.m. Hosted by Stars from HBO’s “True Blood”; Nelsan Ellis, Rutina Wesley, Kristen
Bauer, Michelle Forbes, and Ashley Jones. The VIP reception will be followed by “Halloween
Howl” on the cobblestone Via Rodeo at Two Rodeo Drive, which includes a silent auction, with
spectacular gifts donated by supporting Rodeo Drive stores, Halloween-themed cocktails and a
doggy costume contest. Delicious Cajun cuisine will be prepared by the nation’s premier seafood
restaurant, McCormick & Schmick’s.

Orphan "Pound Pups" in need of new homes through the Amanda Foundation and guests' dogs
will be decked out in fantastic and freaky costumes and will be judged by a panel of celebrities
from True Blood, and other hit TV shows, such as Pauley Perette from NCIS and Kaley Cuoco
from “The Big Bang Theory. The night culminates with dancing to the primal beat of Dj
Wolfie and delectable desserts like Apricot Beignets and Gran Stackhouse's Mini Pecan Pies
prepared by McCormick & Schmick's.

The True Blood Hounds event kicks off the three-day Bow Wow Beverly Hills series of in-store
dog adoptions, from October 30th through November 1st, at some of the most world’s most
elegant stores in Beverly Hills. Participating are: American Express Travel, Baracci, Beverly
Wilshire Hotel, Breguet, Brooks Brothers, Damiani, Donald J. Pliner, Eres Boutique,
Ermenegildo Zegna, Gearys Beverly Hills, Georg Jensen, Judith Leiber, Juicy Couture, Judith
Ripka, B.H. Chamber of Commerce, Persol Eyewear, Porsche Design, Smythson of Bond Street,
Tiffany & Co., Vilebrequin and Westime.

Bow Wow Beverly Hills is a community-supported event designed to promote pet adoption and
generate funds for the Amanda Foundation’s rescue mission and its state-of-the-art “Spaymobile”
which provides free spay/neuter services in the most needy neighborhoods of L. A. County.
Two Rodeo General Manager, Bill Wiley states, “We are so pleased to serve as the host for the
4th Annual Bow Wow Beverly Hills event this year, and are very excited about this year’s newest
component – the True Blood Hounds theme. For three years, Two Rodeo has served as the home
of Bow Wow Beverly Hills, and we hope that this year’s event will build upon the success of past
events and raise funds to support the Amanda Foundation and it’s ongoing efforts to save animals
in need and also promote awareness for pet adoption.”

VIP COCKTAIL EVENT
An exclusive reception will be held at Tiffany & Co. on October 29th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.,
featuring cast members from HBO’s hit series, True Blood, Tickets for the VIP reception are
$200.00 and include Champagne, and the Vampire’s Kiss Martinis featuring Dan Aykroyd’s own
“Skull” vodka., a gift bag and admittance to the Halloween Howl event on the Via Rodeo from
7:30 to 10:30 p.m., which includes Cajun cuisine, courtesy of McCormick & Schmick’s, as well
as the silent auction and doggy costume contest.

HALLOWEEN HOWL EVENT
The 4th Annual Bow Wow Beverly Hills Event will be held on the Cobblestone Via Rodeo at
Two Rodeo Drive from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $75.00 and include Cajun cuisine.
including an oyster and crawfish bar, courtesy of McCormick & Schmick’s priemier seafood
restaurant, Martinis and wine, a luxury silent auction, a celebrity-judged doggy costume contest,
music courtesy of D.J. Wolfie, and the opportunity to bring home a new puppy to add warmth and
a howl to your family home.

Featured silent auction items include an exquisite gold necklace from Tiffany & Co.'s latest Key
Collection, a dazzling jewel purse from Judith Leiber, World Champion Lakers tickets, a signed
True Blood script donated by Alan Ball, numerous other True Blood show related items, a guitar

IN-STORE PET ADOPTIONS
Adoptable dogs can be seen at both the kickoff event and in participating stores between October
