Present Richard C. Miller’s James Dean:
A W Happenings Photography Exhibit

July 29, 2009- LOS ANGELES, CA—W Los Angeles-Westwood in conjunction with Celebrity Vault, announce the launch of a W Happenings photography exhibition for James Dean, a collection of portraits shot by famed photographer Richard C. Miller.  The W Happenings exhibition – W Hotel’s art gallery space - will be exhibited in W Los Angeles-Westwood’s chic Living Room and critically acclaimed NINETHIRTY Restaurant. The exhibit is produced by renowned contemporary art gallery, Celebrity Vault, and will feature Richard C. Miller’s photographs of the legendary James Dean on the set of Dean’s last film, Giant.

This stunning exhibition of large and small-scale black and white photography will open in August and will run for approximately 12 weeks with possibility of traveling to other W Hotels. The W Hotel’s dedication to fashion, music and entertainment art make it the ideal platform for showcasing Miller’s James Dean photos. 

W Los Angeles – Westwood and Celebrity Vault are excited to introduce Miller’s collection of work to an audience of W guests, tastemakers, industry leaders and celebrities.  The exhibition features photographs of the iconic James Dean on the set of his last film, Giant, before his tragic death. The images show a variety of emotions from the actor as well as his interactions with fans and cast members, including Elizabeth Taylor. 

W Los Angeles – Westwood and Celebrity Vault share the same vision of bringing culturally intriguing images and beautiful artwork together. This Richard C. Miller W Happenings exhibit celebrates the wonderful fusion of the viewer and the viewed – featuring photography of one of the most legendary actors and cultural icons of all time.
